Email Filtering + Tagging = Powerful + Necessary!

Email can be a chore, frustrating and even intimidating.  Enter Email Filters and Email Tags to the rescue!

i read most of my email offline using the nice Mozilla Thunderbird email client.   i don't need all my email conversations stored in the cloud at just about anyone's disposal nowadays (like yahoo, gmail, etc.).   Plus, i check 7 email addresses every time i check email.    Without Email Filters this would be very difficult!

Email Filters help automatically sort incoming email into certain email folders (like personal, work, social, organizations, etc.).   Filters will be discussed in a future blog post.

Email Tags are used while reading and searching for email.   Apply Email Tags while reading email and use Quick Filter to specify which tags you want to search for.

Say an email message is important and you want to come back to it soon.   It's also useful and something i have todo.

In the image below, i tagged an email message important, todo, and useful  (1).  The message is colored red because important has the highest priority of tags.

Then much later, i used Quick Filter to find it  (2):
